| The beer hisses and the cap hits the tile, Shannon turns her head to the noise. "Okay," she hesitates, not sure if she actually wants a beer. She wants to come off as easy and uncomplicated but she doesn't want a beer, "rum and coke, actually." The brunette feels less weird now, the little play they've put on seemed to ease her even if her part was horribly acted. "You'd get bored if I was picture perfect," she hopes he would anyway. Sam was the only one who she felt she could be 100% Shannon with, nobody else knew her as well as he did. He picks her up and she's laughing like a child, his large hands plucking her up with ease. She hovers over the six foot tree and shoves the star down in the center of it. Back on the ground Shannon beams up at it, turning around her wrap her thin arms around Sam. "You're perfect, did you know?" she tippy toes to kiss him, her eyes apologetic for absent times. "I'm sorry for not calling and for trying Tinder, I had such a horrible time. I thought I'd driven you away forever."

The smell of freshly fried food wafts through the place, and it's a good thing too, since he would have forgotten he was cooking otherwise. Wrinkling his nose up at her drinks order, he looked a little bit disgusted, "what, am I your bartender?" On any other day he would have left it at that, but alas, today was a day of seeking forgiveness. Rolling his eyes, he fetched a glass (easier said than done, since the kitchen had been rearranged) and slopped a couple of ice cubes into it, throwing in some rum and coke. He handed it to her, a touch resentfully. Before long he's laughing again, infected by her giggles, swinging her up to the tree and letting her back down once she'd placed the star upon it. He kisses her back, nodding. "Yeah, I know," he says with a grin, though he's fairly far from perfect. She starts to apologise and it makes him feel sick. It's obvious what he's got to apologise for but he doesn't want to verbalise it, it felt too ugly to say. "I'm sorry too," he eventually said, looking her in the eye and hoping that was enough. "Nothing and no one could ever compare to you."

| He passes her a look of disgust and she reacts with a puzzled look before nodding, "yes." The glass is chilly in her hand and her thumb strokes the quick condensation. Her first sip is of coke, it's sweet and too many of these and she'll have a definite hangover. "Perfect, you're hired," she smiles into her second sip. She's trying to read him as she makes her apology. It's not like she's expecting an apology back, it's just why isn't he giving her a proper one? She frowns, perplexed. Sure he's sorry, but she's sorry for being a cunt and for having an account on Tinder. "Did it take making out with a stripper for you to figure that out?" she's not mad as she begins to say it but it ends bitterly.
