It sometimes seems like you don't like yourself very much. Would you agree with that? If so, why don't you change the things you don't like?

I think some people are born victims and I'm one of those people. Not to say I've had a hard lot in life, kind of the opposite... People go through things way worse than anything I've ever gone through but I can't seem to get past the things that happen to me, whether that's my dad dying, my anxiety, my addiction. I overthink things a lot. I just think I'm like... irrevocably a whiny little shit. I'm very emotional and I hate that and I've spent years trying not to be, but I can't not. Am I making any sense? What kind of person cheats on their wife and then goes round spending the next year feeling really sorry for themselves over it? I'm very selfish. I wish I wasn't.

Yoooo. What were you like in high school?

I don't know if I mentioned this enough already, but I'm Canadian. School wasn't like high schools here, or at least, the idea of American high schools I have from 90s TV. It wasn't that cliquey. I'm a lot of things that don't make you popular as a guy, I'm quiet, I get in my emotions, I didn't put myself out there much. People didn't bother me for it. I had a good group of friends and I always loved music, I was a voracious reader, I lived a very inner life. I enjoyed it, mostly.

When are you happiest?

When I'm fresh out of the shower, singing along to the Smiths with a girl in my bed and plans to see the boys later. Side note, why is it always more fun to sing in an accent other than your own?
