I thought so, but now I think she's actually grieving herself and doesn't know how to process it. She was there, after all. She doesn't handle vulnerability very well, neither of my daughters do.

She was completely convinced that I'd save him. I didn't know how to tell her that money can't buy everything, the second I heard the prognosis I knew I couldn't... I think she partially blames me.
