T A Y Somewhere between the two. We'll probably end up married, yeah.

Aaron Yall ever talk about it before? Or does she have a really good voodoo doll of you that I don't know about.

T A Y Again, both. Tell me more about your girl.

Aaron What about her? Known her since I was 10, damn near grew up in her house. All the firsts you could think of. I love her family dearly. Dated a little while after high school, haven't been together in any sense of the word since about 2018.

Aaron I got deployed and she met her now-fiance. She already didn't like me in the army, couldn't do it from a whole other continent too.

T A Y Wow. Why'd you enlist?

Aaron I didn't have much else going on. Couldn't keep mooching off her parents, would've killed my dad if I had to stay around him any longer. It seemed like a good idea at the time for money and job security.
