SAMIRA Alrighty then, I guess I must. Haha, or not so politely. My ER rotation was certainly a learning experience, lots of yelling there. I get the aftermath more of those trips, when the major issues have been handled.

Aaron I don't bite. Promise. I'll never forget the time you told that kid Jordan Faust to go fuck himself for being mean to your friend. Freshman year. It was sealed for me then and there, I was a goner. I'm sure you've had your fair share of nutjobs that make it hard to stay composed.

SAMIRA You sure? He also had that coming, I still do not understand why no one else was trying to put him in his place, all he had was those backwards caps and was the first guy in our grade to reach 6'1. Do you have a thing for my temper? Got stabbed with a scalpel once. In the arm, that was fun.

SAMIRA Not yet. I might be smaller than you but I am mighty. Or my ire is. Luckily it was my non-dominant arm so I just had to scrub out, get it removed, cleaned and stitched up and then make sure it didn't get infected. Luckily wasn't too deep but wasn't pain-free either. I was back at work I think 3 days later.

Aaron Got it. That ball can be in your court. Don't I know it. It's amazing to behold, I'm lucky to have mostly escaped it. I hope the stabber got in trouble. Need better security.

SAMIRA Thank you. I tried to be sparing. Ish was rarely so lucky. Oh, he was a patient - had been in an accident and didn't know what was going on yet, a lot of trauma. I just kind of let it go when he was eventually discharged, had a long road ahead.

SAMIRA Overseas, I was still in med school. Honestly was so exhausted it just became another story to tell over time. Maybe I should make it a party trick. What are you up to?

SAMIRA Wouldn't have been much you could do anyway. Simply a flesh wound and luckily I'm quite well versed in scarring. It's almost impossible to see. Want to take the dogs to the dog park after you eat?
