L I L Y Not much I can do. Ignore the noise as best as I can, not always easy. Haha a bus. It's how I have time to entertain the conversation, honestly! Not a ton of time on my own on tour, that's also always an adjustment too.

Jack Are you used to it all yet? Or still waiting for it to feel real? I hope you get to enjoy a little bit of the places you'll see, at least.

L I L Y A little of both - it's better this time around, but something always just feels like it's around the corner too. I'll try! It's crazy how much gets packed in to these dates but have a few off days in some good cities here and there. Nashville I always manage a fun time, even if they always tell me to not really talk if i'm doing back to back shows haha. Have you ever been?

Jack I'm sure there are plenty of a-ha moments on stage to remind you you've made it. I've not been to Nashville but it's on the list, as is the TN state fair. I've heard great things. I would also shamelessly go to Graceland if I were nearby.

L I L Y People screaming in your face is helpful, even if the lights really are blinding. And SO hot. I swear people forget to mention that. The state fair? Very wholesome. It's all a fun time - sometimes kitschy, but good roots. I can't blame the bachelorette parties.

Jack Have you ever had stage fright? I want to travel all 50 states and their fairs. It's a thing I do with my cousin. I like the touristy stuff, you have to get it out of the way right?

L I L Y Not really. My family's all in music, was exposed to stage presence and performance pretty early on. Didn't love talent shows growing up, though, I'm not overly competitive. Ah! How fun! How many states so far? What's been your favorite? For better or for worse it's what the place is known for! So give me some country music and one of those peddle cars, I don't care. Fun is fun.

Jack All throughout the biz or singers too? I've been to probably 20 states and 10 state fairs. My brother and I tagged a bunch of national parks, that's his thing. Washington is up there for me. How many are you about to blow through?

L I L Y All throughout - my parents played together a lot, though it was more of a hobby for them. My brother's a guitarist. Ah - almost halfway there on the states, then! Hmm...25 or 26? And then Canada, and some of Europe. There's a size-able break built in there which'll be great and probably very needed by that time. But it's not as crazy packed together as the last one so that's nice too.

Jack Oh that's right, Cat's Cradle. A musical family sounds like an interesting upbringing. For Canada I'm 3 provinces down. And then end of the year, I'll have England off the list at the very least. What cities are you looking most forward to?

L I L Y That’s the one - do you listen? Are you going back with Syl? I’m excited to tour over there, I never have. And those dates are pretty spaced out so I’ll have more time to just hang out in Europe which is a dream. Hmm…I always love Colorado, I’m excited to do a show in my hometown in New Mexico. Radio City Music Hall is a dream. There’s quite a few.

Jack I have, yeah. My musical taste is all over the place. We'll be going for Christmas, alternating holidays between our families. Firsts for you and me both, we'll have to compare notes and souvenirs once you're back. Oh man, the hometown one is going to be major. A big friend and family reunion I imagine?

L I L Y Full McCarthy family supporter there 😉 First holidays together? Yeah, it'll be a special one for sure. Always interesting going back somewhere where people knew you in one capacity and now you exist in a different one. You see who suddenly wants to treat you differently if you run into them in town. But just cool t have the opportunity! The Sangre de Cristo Mountains are beautiful if you ever end up down there.

Jack Without even trying! Impressive bunch you are. We got together in October, but these are our first serious ones together. I'll note that down, NM is so close too it could be next in line honestly. Ok, I've thought of a creative interview question if you're interested.
