Samira I am on call on Christmas this year, tis the season. The longer I've dragged the longer I've thought about it. Have not discussed with either man, so you can have first crack at it.

Drew Oh to be a fly on the wall. All the tea and getting it early - you know the way to my heart. I'm so glad you were able to get this off your chest.

Samira You would rather be anywhere else, I can promise you that. I guess I didn't know how heavy it was until I said something, but there is always a way to follow. If you have any buried drama while I am saying all of this feel free to share it now.

Drew Do you have family plans? How is that adorable brother of yours? Yeah girl, that's a lot to keep in. But you'll get through this. There's always celeb drama, influencer drama, friend drama. Might be family drama once we have Christmas with the Nickfords.

Samira Yes yes, we will do Midnight Mass that night and I just have to hope my pager doesn't go off, and then we do our gifts and things after. Did I tell you Ish has a girlfriend now? I finally got to meet her. Who will start it this time?

Drew Love that. Oh good for him! Do you like her? Around the holidays my MIL becomes a lunatic, she wants everything to be just right. Bless his dad for trying to keep her on the rails. Marco's sister is lovely, her husband is kind of stiff, their daughter is an adorable little diva. the extended family is mostly fine too.

Samira I do. Not what I expected at all but maybe that is a good thing after his vapid phase. And Marco? Does he play along or does he make sure you're not knee deep in cabernet?

Drew Boys grow up eventually. Is she an actor too? She's a weakness of his, he usually bends to her will. Otherwise she pouts or ices everyone out. I try to get out of her way and nudge the wine closer!

Samira She does compliance on sets, it's how they met. And she is definitely still the grown one between them. Sounds like a minefield to navigate, be careful. Will you see your family at all?

Drew So slightly removed, that's probably good. It's not too bad, maybe I'm actually the extra one. We're splitting, Thanksgiving in Houston and Christmas in Riverside. Is Rav's family around here too?

Samira Oh come on, we have all heard of the MIL, momma's boy scenario. His mother, brother and aunt are, then some are in Seattle and a majority back in India. We'll probably go to Washington sometime in December to see his dad but holidays are always a toss up for us schedule wise. Honestly half the time we just decide a random day is Christmas and go for it.

Drew All too familiar! I have seen some bad cases, Marco is luckily nowhere near. He just ups the people pleasing around his folks. When's the last time you visited India? Tell me about it, your schedule foils my girl trip plans. It's official, we're going to France early December, wish you could come with.
