| As Taylor slips deeper into the honesty of its darkness, Camilla tries to imagine something that visceral taking hold. Something so enticing that nothing else compares, taking over every sense and waking thought until its impossible to evade. She'd watched girls whittle themselves down to nothing in the industry, disordered and chaotic with their drugs and moods. But she'd always had the nagging look of disappointment on her mother's face burned into the back of her mind, the disapproval she'd face if she lost true sight of herself. Wondering if Taylor had ever had anyone to provide him a line other than himself, hand wandering to find his in a show of support and solidarity. If it had to be her, so be it. "Unfortunately the only love rehab I can think of is therapy, and sometimes I think it is also probably not right.” Camille had always been open about her emotions and feelings, unafraid to share and process things as they happened. Out loud, to others, one way or another everyone would have an idea how she was feeling or what she was working through at a certain period of time. It was the evasion, or the putting aside, that could bother her - so it's why she's taking Taylor's words so seriously, squeezing their grasp a little tighter. "I could be, you never know. It does not seem like something you have a choice in. Either way I am here for you. Always in your corner, ok? I do not care what that crazy girl tries to do to me.”

| Despite himself Taylor's mind continues to wander to Kendra, wondering what she'd make of this conversation if she could hear it. They never really discussed their relationship in this way, never addressing it much beyond her questioning if he was in "one of his moods", or him asking her if she wanted to "keep doing this", never defining what "this" was. Maybe she saw it completely differently. Cami's slender fingers finding his pulls him from this reverie, grounding him in the moment as she so often did. "Ugh, therapy," he laughs, shaking his head, "everyone in this city is so obsessed with therapy." Therapyspeak was a disease he wished everyone could rid themselves of, chief amongst them Isaac. "If Ken went to therapy they would tell her she needs to prioritise herself. As if that isn't what she does all day, every day, just now with clinical permission." He nods at what she's saying though he disagrees, still believing there was something in the particular makeup of himself and Kendra that made their relationship so comorbid. "Appreciate it, Cam. You know you come before everyone for me, right? Crazy girls included. Come on, let's go make coffee and put Lena to bed." |
