To say that Lola enjoyed male attention would be an absolute understatement. As told by her ex-husband, Lola craved attention, particularly from males. And that was one thing that Simon was absolutely correct about; she craved attention. Male attention. From any male who would give her one ounce of it, actually. She had never been fond of her gender, and always found that they brought more trouble and drama than they were worth. Females liked to create situations that don't need to be created, and she could never stand the talk that went along with female friends. So, when Harry Rutherford walked into her life some years ago, Lola clung on to him, and clung hard. She was in the midst of a falling apart marriage, and he had been her solace during that time. She would go to him for advice, humor, and just for the mere fact of having someone to accompany her. The last few months, however, had been a bit rocky for their friendship. They had almost slept together, which made their relationship and his relationship with Cat suffer. So when Lola had caught Harry online a few days ago, she knew this was the chance to...if anything, fix their friendship. And how do you fix a friendship with someone like Harry? Food, beer and movies, of course.
Lola's midtown apartment was the quintessential New York City style flat. She had decorated the entire thing from wall-to-wall in the style she liked, adding accents of Paris, pictures, and flowers here and there. Her favorite room, however, was her living room. Black leather couch, red and white pillows, silver chevron accents, glass table, grand television...everything you could think that Lola would have in her room, it was there. And right now on her table lay a variety of movies, two glasses, and the remote to the television. Lola was dressed in her favorite pair of black high waisted jeans, and black crop top. Her long hair was in waves, flowing to her back. She smelled of Chanel Number 5, and her feet were bare, showing off the tan she had been working on. Her toenails were donned in her favorite black matte nail polish. The whirling of the fan from the other room carried on into the living room, and paired with the hustle and bustle of the city made a smile jump to Lola's face. As soon as Lola sat down on the couch, she heard the knocking of the front door. Harry was here. At last. Reaching the door, she clutched it open and smiled as Harry made his way into her apartment. She took the bags of food and beer from his hands and set it on her counter. Lola went in for a hug, and clutched on for a few seconds before letting go.
Thanks for picking all this up, Harry. pointing towards the couch, she grabbed the beer from the package and headed towards the couch. Setting the bottle on the table, she patted the seat next to her, and said, Come on, Harry.
