The real story, the one the cops and my future employers will never know about is that I had sex with a student and her parents found out. I wish I could say she was the first, but... I had a bit of a problem. The girl was only sixteen, a Junior, hot as hell. We hooked up during homecoming after some sort of drama left her in tears. I'm not the kind of guy not console a teary-eyed girl. We continued to hook-up for awhile and since I didn't get caught, I broadened my horizons. She didn't like that. I forgive her for ratting me out, she was a dumb kid. Even her parents didn't believe she didn't instigate it. Must be my infallible charm. ❞ ❝ Max was my boyfriend. No, really, he was my boyfriend regardless of what stories he might try to spin to everyone else. I told my parents he had taken advantage of me... bribed me with good grades and do you know what they said? 'Your grades needed the help. Anyway I found out from a girlfriend that she had made out with him during a tutoring session. Puke. I went to his apartment and he had another woman over. Jessica or Josie or something. Apparently she was girlfriend. Can you believe it?! He had another girlfriend! I wanted to make him pay for cheating on me so I told and... well, you get the point. I feel really bad now that he's gone, he was always so sweet, even when he was being mean, he was so charming. He told us he's not into monogamy, that it wasn't us that he just wasn't that guy -- it sounds totally lame, but the way he said it was totally logical. First was dorming through college, next was moving to the other side of the country for a job. Everything changed when I left home and realized how shit it was. Now anywhere I can kick me feet up can be 'home.' Right now I call this loft in NYC home. I share it with a cat that the previous owners left behind.
