What started out as simple acknowledgement during #WCW has unveiled a talented beauty behind the pretty face. Big blonde curls proving big hair is always in, she's an interesting change in the usual skinny blondes that seem to overrun Instagram lately. Seems this southern beauty has a lot in store for the world if her latest uploads are anything to go off of.   how long have you been doing art & what got you interested in it? i've always had an eye for it, i suppose. i just got recognized for it a year ago after one of my professors sent a photo of a finished product to a friend of his in berlin. i like to see the world around me in a different light. i like to explore and i like to document that and it just so happens that i have a great sense of detail with charcoal and a blank canvas. have you always lived in new york? have you ever seen yourself living elsewhere? no. i came to new york for school. i was born and raised in texas. houston and, later, dallas. i always wanted to travel. you see these pictures of these beautiful places and you want to be that person in those photos. so, whether i'd gotten accepted to new york colleges or not i would have gone traveling. what inspires your everyday life? nature. the fact that we are losing sight of what is important in life just makes me want to hold on to the beauty that i do see. i want to have those memories if it's all i'm allowed. if you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? bacon. i have an unhealthy love for bacon.....and avocado. where do you see yourself in ten years? professionally and personally? i'm hoping i'll have my own gallery where i can distribute my art and others art that moves me in a way that needs to be documented forever. personally? i'm not sure. i'm hoping i don't change too drastically from who i am. i like who i am now.   what do you love most about art ? It captures things differently with each artist. I can describe so many things in a simple way. describe yourself in 5 words free-spirited, spontaneous, passionate, open-minded, and gracious. what are three things you couldn't live without sketchpad, pencils, nature where would we find you on the weekend, or on your day off? i like to travel on the weekends and, if i can't, i like to go places where i'm not harassed by the big city and draw or paint. i like to release the buildup of the week. sometimes, though, i settle for drinks with friends and a night on the town. what have you been listening to recently? booty by jlo. i'm almost ashamed but then i remember it's jlo. who is your #1 role model, dead or alive? my older sister. she keeps me sane and she's taken on so much from the start.   ________________________________________ your name cai |
