PERSONAL LIFE:
OLIVIA AND JACK MONAHAN, 53/58, ACTRESS/PRODUCER
My parents kind of had the traditional love affair. They met while they were both studying at the Boston Conservatory back in the 80s. Mom was studying musical theatre, and Dad was just kind of there. He wanted to go into acting, but soon found a profound love for the field of movies and theatre and kind of found his niche with producing. Once Dad finally had the courage to ask Mom out, things kind of just fell into place. They dated throughout their time at Boston, and even moved out to NYC together. Finally, in the spring of 88, Dad proposed and they got married a few weeks later.
Fast-forward, twenty-seven years, and they've been married since then. They've put one daughter through college, and one daughter is a rising star in a big band. They're still so much in love, and shower each other with that love every single day of the year. While there have been rumors of cheating and infidelity, those rumors are just rumors. Nothing has seemed to have torn our family apart, and I don't plan on letting anything come between us at this point.
SOPHIA MONAHAN, 23, ARTIST
Sophia was born in 1992, just three years following my parents marriage. She was the bright eyed one of the family. Always reserved, quiet and much more calm than I was. She had a knack for art and classical pieces from the early stages. Sophia was never the child to cry out against Mom or Dad. She was just kind of there. Obeyed the rules, and did everything they asked for.
That all changed when James came into the picture. He took our Sophia and turned her into something nobody recognized. She became enwrapped into drugs and alcohol, and came back to the house many times drunk and hungover. She got so bad that Mom and Dad sent her off to rehab a few times. She's cleaned up since then - got into art school and even owns an art gallery now. But, things are still tense between all of us. So, I don't know if it'll ever go back to being the same.
THEO WHITTAKER, 21, EX-BOYFRIEND & DECEASED
Theo and I had a rocky, toxic relationship from the beginning. He was a friend of my sister's, someone that Sophia had warned me to stay away from. But, being that young, I went against everything my parent's and family members had told me. I was intrigued by Theo. He was interesting to me. He was a badass. He was stubborn as fucking hell, but he wanted me. Out of all the girls in the world he could've had, he wanted this little girl from Manhattan. How it lasted so long, I'll never know. We began dating right as I started my junior year at PPA, this is also around the time that Ursula, Sutton, Nina and I signed the contract with our record label...so you could say I was on an all time high when we started dating. I could've sworn I fell in love with him early on. I just knew I loved him with literally every fiber of my being. There were days where he would be away with his band, and I would just miss him so fucking much. It physically pained me to be away from him for so long, you know. Which brings me to a few months ago. He was driving back to my house to see me -- he had been away for a few months and this was the first time we would be seeing each other since then. He was excited, we were on the phone. And I guess I distracted him so much to the point of him not paying attention to the road. He collided with another call, and was fatally hit in the side. His car tumbled and ended up in the ditch. I got the call, and drove as fast as I could to the hospital but when I arrived, he was pronounced dead. I'm still recovering from this...I don't know if I could even ever love again. THE BAND:
INK & BONE, SIGNED IN 2012 TO EPIC RECORDS The band consists of four eighteen year olds from Professional Performing Arts School in New york City. The members respectively are: Greer Monahan, Ursula Volchok, Sutton Ramsey, and Tessa Whittaker. Greer Monahan and Ursula Volchok are lead vocals, while Sutton and Tessa take on backing vocals. They all collaborate on song-writing, and are backed by an all-female instrument group. After the annual school talent show in 2011, the band began to scout out different record companies. The band heavily used the internet and social media as a tool for getting their name out into the world. After formally being introduced to different companies, the band finally decided to sign with Epic Records in 2012. Soon after, the band was moved from New York City to Los Angeles. There, they began to work on their debut album, Vendetta. The debut album was released on August 30th, 2013 with record high sales for a new band. They reached Top 10 lists on Billboard, and iTunes. During the Billboard Awards the following year, they also won for Top New Artist, Top Duo/Group, and Top Hot 100 Song. During the summer of 2014, they embarked on their first tour, co-headlining with newcomer, Shawn Mendes.
