It feels like she's drunk again and in the back of her head she's waiting for the moment where reality clicks and freaking out commences. Nick and Freya seem logical though. This past year they've worked as a unit to raise Naila, it only seemed natural that they'd stray onto a romantic path. If it could be like this moment always, she could fall in love easily. Freya lifts her lips to hover over his teasingly, then backs off with a grin. "Best save it for later and not get carried away."

Nick has completely forgotten Friends. Though the gang are still palling around on screen, Nick is looking down at the top of Freya's head, trying to figure out what's going on inside of it. He feels fuzzy at the edges and he doesn't think it's down to the hangover or the lack of sleep - there's an element of fantasy to the whole proceedings, and he's glad she threw a stale espresso martini on him, because it was the only thing that made him realize it was real and actually happening. Unable to resist any longer, he threaded his fingers into her hair, his other arm holding her tight against him. He wanted her badly, and not just physically. Still, she resists him and he has no choice but to let it go. "Up to you."

They're in such a bubble that Freya is afraid to move away. She leans her head into his chest as Nick racks his hands through her hair and her leg raises to fold over his hip. They've gone to frantically latching onto each other to spitting harm at each other to now what feels like bliss. She doesn't want to step out of the magic. Freya pouts a little at his reaction and lightly presses her pillowy lips to his, the tip of her nose gently tipping against his. "That should hold us over.

He wonders how it'll be when they get back to New York. Are they just going to go back to how things were, to kissing on the cheek and the occasional ruffling of each other's hair? Or are they going to find themselves falling into positions like this one, entangled on the couch. As much as Naila was confused already, Nick was sure that would confuse her further. As she pulls herself up for the world's softest kiss, Nick grins at her. "Not what I had in mind, but I'll take what I can get. C'mon," he says, patting her on the back and starting to get up, though he desperately didn't want to. "I better go see Gus, he's gonna disown me forever if I leave it any longer. You can stay here and dream about me."
