zacmc.   Hi team. It's been a while, huh? As some of you may have realized, I relapsed some time late last year and have spent the last few months in treatment. It's been hard, but I'm grateful to be alive and on  the way to being well. As some of you might know, a big part of recovery is owning your actions and trying to make amends to the (countless) people you've hurt. I've  been working on that especially hard, and that's why I'm writing this post. To my mom, a woman who had so much shit thrown her way even before she had a junkie son, I am, so, so sorry. To my bandmates, who tried so many times to intervene, who made excuses for me and picked up my slack, I'm grateful and I'm so sorry. To the friends who stood by me I will never, ever forget what you've done for me, and to those who reached the end of their tether and couldn't, I understand and I love you just the same. I hope you're having as good a time as you can on this stupid little planet.  And to all the fans, I'm insanely ashamed of myself for letting you down. I'm sorry for every show I did wasted beyond words, every show I showed up late to or even not at all. I hate myself for that the most. You invested your money, your time and your energy, and I fucked it all up. I'm so sorry. You deserve so much better and my focus for the future is giving you that, if you'll still have me. If not, thanks so much for your support all this time. It probably doesn't seem this way but it meant and means the world to me. Anyway. I sincerely hope this is it for me, and if it isn't, then I hope  everyone makes the decision to move on. Life is hard and horrible and far too long, so let's try to be as loving to each other as we can be. To anyone in recovery - keep going man, you're still in there somewhere and you can be found. zacmc     10 months sober. I've had a lot of questions about how I'm doing it. I've got an insane support network, went to expensive rehab (twice in a row), I go to meetings and I spend a lot of time in nature. This also happens to be the first time I've fully quit everything. I used to kid myself that I could still drink because drink wasn't my problem, but one thing leads to another, so yeah, I think that's me off alcohol for life. Saying that here so I can be accountable. Finally, I hate to sound so LA but I meditate daily. Not so intentional but I also haven't had sex in almost a year now.... maybe I'm less fuckable.  Much love.
