Ah, surprised you never heard this one.
High school sweetheart, was very much in love with him even if we were pretty different. Family never really approved, but I thought he was it!
Anyway, his family's from Mexico and they always spoke a lot of Spanish around the house so I wanted to become fluent enough to contribute. So I did, and then simultaneously discovered he had another girlfriend back in Mexico once I could translate. He's still in our hometown last I heard from him. Young love, but it kind of fucked me over in thinking the worst from the get go at times. Hence, entirely.
