PERCY Here I am. And not disappearing again. So a little better?

MADS I feel like you’ve said that before.

PERCY I’m sure I did say it in the past. But I do mean it. I might not have then but I am not going anywhere.

MADS Well, then I hope you don't get to restless staying in one spot for too long this time.

PERCY It was hard when this all first started. I’m used to it now. I never went what, a few weeks without traveling? I haven’t traveled besides coming back to New York.

MADS I guess I have no real idea between years ago and now but yeah, if your pattern held you were always here and away. I was half surprised your apartment was fully furnished because you were barely around. Mine's not even fully decorated and I've never moved!

PERCY Yeah I got the itch to travel so bad when I was first in lockdown. It went away after a little bit. I also hope you never got the impression that I was bored with you when I would jet off. I think the fully furnished had a lot to do with my mum sending her assistant to decorate. The only things that were truly me-inspired was my bedroom and the dark room I made out of the extra bedroom’s closet. I’m surprised you have decorated. Isn’t that what girls love?

MADS It was more the no heads up that was frustrating, you'd literally just disappear. It's fine when you're single, but when we were together it was such a wtf. And yeah, I spent so much of my effort on finding the perfect spot in terms of features, just haven't gotten around to fully putting it all together. My mom's been wanting me to just get it done, but I'll do it on my own terms someday.

PERCY I know I did. I didn't ever feel bad about it until you. My past relationships were very fucked up, it was almost "allowed." I'm not excusing my behavior either. I think about how I would leave immediately when hearing about an opportunity, drop everything and lose my phone. Not fucking cool. As long as you're happy with your place that's all that matters. It's your spot. The other stuff can absolutely come later if you're happy with it.

MADS Oh come on, you probably felt bad about it with Annie. I've never met someone who can lose phones at the rate you do. On one hand I appreciate the lack of connection to technology, but on the other I'd want to tether you to one. Yeah I love it. Lots of natural light, pre-war goodness. She's a beaut.

PERCY I mean I cared at sometimes. She was pretty notorious for jetting off too. Yeah I just don’t really care about my phone too much. Which is concerning, like if someone got ahold of my phone I could be in a lot of trouble. I’m kinda better with social media and texting now. Sounds gorgeous. You said West Village right?

MADS Yeah, I hope you have two-step authentication on there at this point for security's sake. And for privacy's sake. Yep! I searched for a long time, was worth the effort.

PERCY My publicist made sure I did. She also has my passwords in case anything gets hacked or if I lose my phone again. She’s not been very pleased with me. Sounds gorgeous. Do you have nice neighbors?

MADS Hate to throw salt on a wound, but has anyone? Yeah! Quite a few families, everyone went all out for halloween decorations this year and trick or treating so kids had a whole experience because they couldn't really go out. It's pretty wholesome! I love the location too, close to so many of my favorite spots.
