Hello! So exciting to hear - thanks for the support in person! I think the answer is both - been taking some time to recharge, but sometimes my pen sleeps less than I do! My process is very 'get it down, then figure it out or file it away', and it's worked well for me so far. We'll see what happens!

What was the inspiration behind Stay, Anything? It's one of the few songs I haven't heard you talk about and some of the lyrics kind of killed me ngl.

Hi Taylor! Good catch. It wasn't the easiest song to put together either for me. Sometimes when relationships - whether it be friendships or romantic - come to a question of what's next, you realize you're on opposite sides. There's been a few times in my life where I've been very into something, and someone has been much less so...and it's putting the words out there that make it real. I want them to stay, they won't commit, it all spirals from there. When you're the one to approach that moment of vulnerability, sometimes you don't know what will come next. And it's that space I was kind of writing about.

Hi Lily. I lost my dad recently and feel so lost. Do you have any advice on grief or this process?

First, I'm so sorry for your loss. Second, it's truly different for everyone - but it will take time, and you are completely valid in the ways that you choose to feel and process. I think about my dad every day, and have gotten to a place where I try to honor him or make him proud of me every single day, and try not to be shy to my friends and family if I'm having a tough day about it. Nora McInerny did a beautiful TedTalk about life and death I'd recommend as well. One of her quotes has stuck with me - "Grieving people are going to move forward. But that doesn't mean that they'll move on." And, at least where I am right now in my process, I resonate with that. Lots of love x

What's been the biggest change in your life with the success of your album and tour?

Ooh, that's a tough one. Privacy, I'd probably say. My brother warned me it could happen in the blink of an eye if it all went right and I didn't really believe it until it did happen. A lot of prying, a lot of speculation, and, crazily, a lot of people showing up to my old old apartment! Conversations get a little bit challenging at first too, because you see something end up in the press and you start having doubts about someone leaking something. Which, sadly, does happen too! But right now I'm in a better space about it, I think. Trying to ignore the noise and knowing that the close people I have in my life are here for a reason. Doesn't mean I don't browse Reddit now and again though, obviously! Smiling at the compliments, laughing at the backlash. Continue on, everyone.

Do you ever feel like you're competing with your brother for the spotlight? Or do you share? Any chance of a collab in the future?

Different sounds and different audiences, so I don't really think so! If anything I'm super grateful to have him for support and guidance - whatever I'm going through, he's probably seen or done it before and at a much larger scale. I also record in his studio when I'm in New Mexico a lot, so he sees my stuff when it's terrible lol. As for the future, who knows what it holds!
