R O S I E Yeah for a few days, I leave this Sunday. Might go back out to the Hamptons for a so long to summer for Labor Day too, then I think I'll be fully vacationed out right in time for work to kick in. I think you earned the gold medal, I simply benefitted from your hard work. I could be amenable. It's why I like numbers more. Mostly universal.

Benicio That's amazing, I'm glad. You've had a big summer. I hope I get to see you one more time before your job starts. Well you're a good cheerleader. Even the conversions? I still have to translate the numbers.

R O S I E Who knows, you could be stuck at the wedding reception for the next two months. My voice can project when necessary. Yeah, even then. I remember those kinds of things easily, how I'm wired. Meanwhile you have two dictionaries in your head.

Benicio It's probably a good thing you turned down my invitation then. Come visit me at the studio, I have an idea. Do you see in pictures or words or anything like that?

R O S I E Likely for the best. Stop acting like you're lonely there. Hahaa, I'm not letting you record that. I can visualize math problems really easily. Sometimes some pretty complicated ones if I really focus. What about you? How do songs come together?

Benicio I'm not, just jealous I never got a trip out of you. Damn figured I'd try. You should come though, I've been working on some new things. I think more in shapes and pictures. Some sound too. Like a person, I think of their face and their voice. Music happens in layers for me, a balance of shapes and lines. It's weird to describe.

R O S I E I'm hard to drag on vacations, don't take it personally. Sure, just let me know when. I'm back from NC on Wednesday. I'm sure it's not easy for anyone, I think creativity's it's own thing. People bring it to life in different ways. Interesting, though. Just not how my brain works at all.

Benicio I know, I have learned some things about you. What's a good souvenir to bring me from NC? Nah just curious, it's interesting to know.

R O S I E Well it's either the Smoky Mountains, The Wright Museum, or the University of North Carolina. Take your pick. Again, very different. But cool to take an idea and be able to turn it into something...I don't know. Tangible?

R O S I E Alright. I'll think about it. Sure, maybe. Mine is more predictable outcomes, I can tell what will happen. Yours seems way less linear.

R O S I E Not really, I barely even take pictures honestly. I think the last thing I bought were these little porcelain trinket trays in Portugal. Ok hot shot. How do you know you're getting better if you're not failing first?

Benicio I just think we should show each other how we travel. You learn even more about someone. Ok ok I should say it always sounds good to me. I don't put out music I don't like at the time. But I get older, I know more things, I get better. I failed a lot first starting out, my music 10 years ago was very different. Luckily it's not really out there.
