SAMIRA Ha! We barely have a fridge and freezer. A day off is always a positive - sometimes it is hard to be super productive but I managed a run and the dishwasher. Echo’s cashing in some snuggles now. How has your day been?

Aaron You're kiddin me. I guess I should stop watching all those medical dramas. Sounds like a good day off to me and plenty productive. What else are you supposed to do, solve world hunger in your downtime? My day's been good. Startin a new book, got some groceries, ran Ki into the ground. Finally parted with all the sandpaper I hate throwing away because I swear I can always squeeze a little more use out of it. My day off too.

SAMIRA Very glamourized. There's talk of a break room renovation, but there's always talk of a break room renovation. Maybe, wouldn't that be fun? Sounds like a good day for you, too, then. I still can't get over the feel of sandpaper, it makes me grit my teeth.

Aaron That's no fair. Yall deserve a nice lounge. First is solving Echo's hunger, I'm sure that's most important. That's the best way to know the grit size, rub it against your teeth. Just kidding, don't do that if you like your teeth.

SAMIRA One day, far far from now, I will inevitably end up in a private practice and things will look very different. Oh yes, that bottomless pit. I shuddered thinking about it. I hate nail files because of it, the worst part if I ever get my nails done.

Aaron Is that what's carrying you through this summer? Hm ok I'll put a pin in that one. Of course, I used to make good money off dares to eat peppers. I still always get worried looks when I order the spiciest options at restaurants.

SAMIRA Haven't had one in ages, honestly. We might need a bar detour. An Indian household is often a bit of a gauntlet, I think my parents are still shocked when you'd steal bites of our food in the early days. Also, you hustler you.

Aaron I'm already convinced, I think it just might be you holdin us up. I'm grateful for my adventurous palate. But really I was sold with the kulfi. I don't know, it's still a point of pride to pronounce some words right and know a little Hindi.

SAMIRA Slushes and nachos, how can I say no? Sweet tooth still reigns supreme too I see. And it should be - it was one thing for you to stay with us. It was another to feel comfortable enough to know you belonged, or wanted to. And then not immediately pass out when you tried Maa's curry.

Aaron Ready when you are. What can I say, I'm easy. Really hope I don't become lactose intolerant all of a sudden. First time I tried it, oh boy. I was just happy to eat, I was practically the garbage disposal. I feel a little bad laughing about it, but remember the first time my mom tried to make curry for dinner when we were young?

SAMIRA I feel like Cinderella, but we can be back by 8, right? Unfortunately could happen, but we'll say it won't. They were shocked. Still bring it up sometimes. And haha, yes. It was a very...unique? Burnt flavor.
